Trout and Tucker Music
Trout and Tucker was created to help a group of musicians in Northern Virginia explore, produce and distribute recorded music. Our purpose is to facilitate the practical, logistical and "behind the scenes" side of the recording. As you may know, there are hundreds of details surrounding an album, accounting, taxes, mechanical licensing, tracking and distribution of royalties, just to name a few.
T&T was created by Sam Wright and Eric Reiss to help with those details. We function as a virtual record label, but believe that the lion's share of the profit for good music should go to the artist themselves, instead of the apparatus along the way. At the top of this page, you'll meet artists and bands that we've worked with and that we love to support. So clink the links above to learn more about the musicians we are honored to work with!
About Us:
Sam Wright is a guitarist who spends his spare time relaxing as a CPA. There's just something soothing about debits, credits and tax law.
He is the brains of the operation, preferring to be called either 'Master' or 'High Lord Potentate' and facilitates the accounting, business forms, and a thousand other details that make mere mortals cringe. While completely ambidextrous, Sam uses his war hammer with his right hand while smiting his foes, so they won't feel bad about getting hammered by a lefty.
His throne is made of jasper and is layered with overlapping polished sheets of superheated and shimmering gold. This is surprisingly comfortable as a resting place for making the big decisions.
Eric Reiss (also known as "E") is also involved, but his role is less clear. It seems to involve bobbing, weaving, shucking and jiving. He can be seen waving his hands and drawing on napkins, but seems to avoid any real work. He owns a small marketing company helping churches and non-profits and enjoys music more than you would believe.
